An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

About Us Shining Rock Classical Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving students in Haywood County. Our mission is to provide a high-quality, student-centered education in a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment. We are seeking a passionate, dedicated, and collaborative Fourth Grade Teacher to join our team for the 2026-2027 school year . The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, strong classroom culture, and helping every student reach their full potential. Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. Create a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment that promotes academic, social, and emotional growth. Build strong, meaningful relationships with students and families. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and learning needs of all students. Assess student learning and use data to monitor progress and guide instructional decisions. Maintain high academic and behavioral expectations for all students. Collaborate effectively with grade-level teams, administration, support staff, and families. Communicate regularly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues. Participate in school events, professional development, staff meetings, and other school activities. Support the school's mission, values, and commitment to student success. Qualifications North Carolina Teaching License in Elementary Education or eligibility to obtain one. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Ability to create an engaging, structured, and student-centered learning environment. Strong organizational, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Commitment to high expectations, academic excellence, and the success of every student. Benefits 401(k)
