An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

August 2026 The Keene School District is seeking an energetic, collaborative, and dedicated Elementary Spanish Teacher to deliver high-quality World Language instruction to young learners. This full-time position splits time between two vibrant school communities within the district: Symonds Elementary School (60%) and Franklin Elementary School (40%). The ideal candidate will foster an inclusive, engaging, and culturally rich classroom environment that introduces elementary students to Spanish language acquisition and Hispanic cultures.
Curriculum & Instruction:
Design and deliver age-appropriate, standards-based Spanish lessons (FLES model) focusing on listening, speaking, reading, and basic writing skills.
Dual-Site Coordination:
Maintain seamless communication and organization across both Symonds Elementary and Franklin Elementary schools. We invest in our educators so they can invest in our students.
