2026-2027 Primary Responsibilities- Serve as a mentor, role model, and advocate for all students, fostering both academic and social-emotional growth.
- Deliver high-quality instruction that promotes strong foundational skills in early literacy and numeracy.
- Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment using proactive and evidence-based behavior management strategies.
- Collaborate with grade-level and interdisciplinary teams to ensure consistency, equity, and excellence in teaching and learning.
- Use data-informed practices, observation, and formative assessment to assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
- Engage families and caregivers as partners in their child's education. Qualifications and Desired Expertise We are seeking a passionate, student-centered educator who brings:
- A deep understanding and practical application of the Science of Reading, including phonological awareness, phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, oral language, and comprehension strategies.
- Knowledge of early mathematics instruction, particularly in developing number sense, counting skills, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding in young learners.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in implementing structured literacy and math routines tailored to kindergarten students.
- Experience with and commitment to implementing evidence-based classroom behavior management systems that support a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to co-plan and co-teach within a professional learning community.
- Familiarity with play-based learning, and developmentally appropriate practice is preferred.
- Experience in designing and delivering differentiated instruction and assessments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, staff, and families.
