Position Overview We are seeking a dynamic and passionate an elementary school social studies/science teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to academic excellence and student growth, bring creativity to their instruction, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect student needs and curriculum goals Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities Assess and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives Support school events, field trips, and community-building activities Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning Adhere to all school, district, and network policies and procedures Required Qualifications Valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard teaching certification (or eligibility for certification) Must pass a criminal history background check Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary range: $60,000 � $80,000, commensurate with experience Additional bonuses can include Signing and Retention incentives Comprehensive benefits package, including: Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance NJ State Pension Plan Flexible spending account (FSA) Professional development support, including access to a lesson plan repository Teacher referral program Extended time off for the Thanksgiving and winter breaks Performance Evaluation Staff are evaluated under the Achieve NJ Teacher Evaluation system, which includes: Teacher Practice Student Achievement Student Growth Percentiles (when applicable) Supervision [For classroom-based roles]: Supervision of students, paraprofessionals, and volunteers Desired Skills & Attributes Strong communication and collaboration skills Passion for educational equity and high academic standards Commitment to continuous professional growth Ability to build strong relationships with students and families Flexibility and a solutions-oriented mindset #ESC
