Robbinsville, NJ (in-person) About Artham Artham is a Hindu nonprofit educational organization devoted to a simple but ambitious idea: that children deserve solid academics and cultural and moral literacy, taught together. We believe in value-based learning and real-life, purposeful education — the kind that builds not just capable students, but thoughtful, grounded human beings. Our Hindu microschool in Robbinsville is where that vision takes shape every day. Teach the way you always wished you could At Artham, we're building something rare: a classroom with no screens, tiny class sizes, and the freedom to actually teach — hands in the soil, chalk on the board, stories told out loud, and children who are genuinely excited to be there. We're looking for an upper-elementary teacher to lead Math and English for grades 4-6 . If you've ever felt boxed in by worksheets, standardized scripts, and glowing tablets, this is the antidote. What makes us different Screen-free, hands-on learning. Kids learn by doing, making, and exploring — not by tapping a screen. Interconnected curriculum. Math, language, nature, art, and culture aren't taught in separate silos — they weave together, so learning feels like one connected story rather than disconnected subjects. Values at the center. We nurture academic excellence alongside moral and cultural literacy — honesty, gratitude, respect, and a deep love of country, so children grow up grounded, kind, and proud of where they come from. A real community. Small enough that every child is known by name, and every teacher's voice shapes how the school grows. What you'll do Teach engaging, rigorous Math and English to grades 4-6 Design hands-on lessons that connect ideas across subjects Get to know each student and adapt to how they learn Foster a warm, disciplined, and joyful classroom Partner with parents as a trusted guide in their child's growth Help instill the values and civic pride at the heart of our mission Who you are You have experience teaching upper-elementary students (Math and English ideally) You believe children learn best by doing, not by screen You're patient, warm, and energized by small-group teaching You resonate with a values-based, culturally-rooted education and are excited to teach children to love their country You do not have to be Hindu — teachers of every background who connect with our mission are warmly welcome A big bonus Familiarity with Waldorf pedagogy — or any hands-on, arts-integrated, developmental teaching approach. If you've worked in a Waldorf, Montessori, or nature-based setting, we'd love to hear from you. Compensation & schedule $44,000/year Health benefits (employee coverage) School day approximately 8:00 AM-2:30 PM, [Monday-Friday] Paid winter and Diwali breaks (built into the school-year calendar) + paid sick/personal days Option to spread pay across 12 months for steady year-round income Start date: August 2026
