P-3 CERTIFIED
School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will strongly commit to fostering a positive learning environment for young children, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles. The teacher will play a crucial role in shaping students' educational experiences in our private school setting. This position is at Discovery Years. This is a satellite program for Universal Preschool. The position begins December 11th, 2024. (We can accept a Certificate of Eligibility in good standing) Responsibilities Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and promote early childhood education. Educate students in various subjects, including literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies, using innovative teaching methods. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their growth. Create a safe and nurturing classroom environment that encourages exploration and curiosity. Incorporate early intervention strategies for students who may need additional support in their learning journey. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavior. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience for students. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in childhood development and education. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Requiring a minimum of Certificate of Eligibility for P-3 Experience in preschool or elementary education is highly desirable. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention techniques. Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan lessons effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and colleagues. Ability to create an inclusive classroom environment that respects diverse backgrounds and learning needs. Experience with childcare or toddler care is a plus. A genuine passion for educating young children and fostering their love for learning. Implement Tools of the Mind Curriculum
