Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

$55,000 - $65,000 + School Description Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School (EMHCS) is a K-12 school serving over 1,000 students. EMHCS offers a dual language program at the elementary campus. Our school is fortunate to have staff, students, and parents working together to create partnerships for learning. It is the mission of the Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School to create a safe and nurturing community of learners where students earn the Seal of Biliteracy (English and Spanish), learn to advocate for social justice, and are prepared to enjoy and access what the world has to offer. Summary of Position Eugenio María de Hostos Charter School is seeking passionate and dedicated educators for multiple K-12 teaching positions. Openings include Elementary and Secondary teaching assignments in bilingual education, general education, special education, mathematics, science, Spanish, and substitute teaching. Candidates should be committed to academic excellence, culturally responsive teaching, collaboration, and supporting the diverse needs of all learners.Current openings include:
Elementary School Teachers 3rd Grade, 5th Grade 6th Grade Essential Functions- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned to state standards and school curriculum.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that promotes student achievement and growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.
- Utilize assessment data to inform instructional practices and monitor student progress.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, support staff, and families to support student success.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and school initiatives.
- Support the school's mission of bilingualism, biliteracy, and social justice advocacy.
- Maintain effective classroom management and positive student relationships.
