This is a full-time contract position.
Candidates should expect:
Small class size
  • Max 25 students Departmentalized grade level
  • homeroom and only 1-2 subjects to specialize in A supportive grade level and leadership team Support for challenging situations with a dedicated Student Care Staff New York State Teachers' Retirement Early School schedule
  • 7:15-3:15 Mentoring program Qualifications Ideal candidates will possess New York State certification, substaintial pay increase for NYS certification.
Candidates with out-of-state certification will be considered. Experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or have completed a teacher certification program. Salary will be calculated based on status of certification, years of experience, and accomplishment of a Master's Degree. Our school Rochester Academy Charter School (RACS) is a public charter school, primarily serving students from the city of Rochester. Over 90% of our students identify as an individual of color. We are a college preparatory school and use data to determine how best to foster student growth, this includes NYS test data. RACS seeks to prepare all graduates for active citizenship.
