Job Description

Southampton Elementary School is seeking Permanent Substitute Teachers to provide instructional support and classroom coverage throughout the school year. Permanent Substitute Teachers play an important role in maintaining continuity of instruction by providing consistent classroom supervision, implementing lesson plans, and supporting a positive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher.

Three (3) Responsibilities Provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of the regular teacher. Implement lesson plans and instructional activities provided by the classroom teacher. Maintain a positive, safe, and productive learning environment. Follow school procedures for attendance, classroom management, and student supervision. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Building Principal. Qualifications Valid New York State Teaching Certification. Experience working with secondary students preferred. Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to adapt to a variety of grade levels and subject areas. Demonstrated ability to establish positive relationships with students and staff.
