The Edge Academy is an Elementary School in Akron, Ohio which serves students in Kindergarten-5th grade. We have 2 classes per grade and max out at 25 student per classroom (22 in Kindergarten). Kindergarten-3rd grade classrooms are self contained and 4th and 5th grades are split by content. Come join our team! Responsibilities Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards. Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment. Assess student progress through standardized testing and provide individualized support. Foster literacy and math skills through innovative teaching methods. Collaborate with parents and staff to support student development and address any special educational needs. Utilize learning technology to enhance classroom instruction and student engagement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or related field Strong classroom management and communication skills Experience in literacy and math education Proficiency in curriculum development and lesson planning Familiarity with special education and early childhood education practices Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and promoting student engagement
