This position focuses on fostering creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills through engaging technology and STEM-based instruction.Position Overview:
The Computer & STEM Teacher will provide instruction to elementary students (grades K-8 or K-5, depending on your structure) in computer literacy, digital citizenship, and hands-on STEM activities. The ideal candidate is passionate about integrating technology across the curriculum and inspiring students to explore science, engineering, and innovation.Responsibilities:
Teach computer and STEM classes to elementary students Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons in technology and STEM Introduce students to coding, digital tools, and basic computer applications Promote digital citizenship and online safety Integrate STEM concepts through project-based learning Collaborate with classroom teachers to support technology integration Maintain and manage classroom technology and resourcesQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Education, Technology, STEM field, or related area Valid teaching license (or ability to obtain one in Ohio) Experience teaching elementary students preferred Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms Strong communication and classroom management skills Passion for innovation and student-centered learningPreferred Skills:
Experience with microsoft, excel and power point Knowledge of robotics or STEM kits Ability to integrate faith-based values into instruction (if applicable)Benefits:
