This is an exciting opportunity for an elementary educator who is passionate about creating a positive foundation for academic, social, and emotional development. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and strong classroom management skills while helping kindergarten students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed. The school serves a diverse student population and values educators who are committed to building strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues. Spanish language skills are welcomed but not required . What You'll Do Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Ohio academic standards. Create a safe, structured, and welcoming classroom environment where kindergarten students can learn and grow. Provide differentiated instruction based on students' academic, developmental, and individual needs. Teach foundational skills in early literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, and social-emotional development. Use a variety of instructional strategies and hands-on activities to keep students engaged. Monitor student progress through classroom assessments, observations, and data collection. Adjust instructional strategies based on student performance and developmental needs. Establish consistent classroom routines and promote positive behavior. Build strong, supportive relationships with students and their families. Collaborate with school leadership, special education staff, related service providers, and other teachers. Maintain accurate student records and follow school policies and educational requirements. What You Bring Experience teaching kindergarten or early elementary students preferred. Strong understanding of early childhood development and elementary instructional practices. Excellent classroom management and organizational skills. Ability to differentiate instruction for students with varying learning styles and abilities. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. A patient, enthusiastic, and student-centered approach. Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Valid Ohio teaching license/certification appropriate for elementary education. Previous classroom teaching experience preferred.
