Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic 1st grade homeschool teacher to join our educational team in Vincent, Ohio, every Monday. As a homeschool teacher, you will work closely with families to implement tailored curricula that support each child's unique learning style and developmental needs. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, science, social studies, and physical education. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and special needs, including experience working with children with autism or requiring early intervention strategies. Monitor and assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, adjusting instruction accordingly. Incorporate educational technology and learning tools to enhance engagement and facilitate interactive lessons. Maintain clear communication with parents regarding student performance, behavior management strategies, and curriculum updates. Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and behavioral management. Collaborate with educational specialists or other teachers when necessary to ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards. Qualifications Proven experience teaching young children in a classroom or homeschool setting, preferably with elementary school age students. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum implementation, and differentiated instruction techniques. Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and learning technology integration. Excellent communication skills for effective parent-teacher collaboration and mentoring. Ability to manage classroom behavior effectively while fostering a supportive learning environment. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with students with autism or other special needs. Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and student performance data analysis to monitor progress accurately. Prior experience in early childhood education programs such as Montessori or private school environments is desirable.
