Immediately Job DescriptionQualifications:
Credentials, as required by the State of Oklahoma. Reports to: Site Principal and/ or Assistant PrincipalPerformance Responsibilities:
Develops lesson plans and instructional materials that meet the district's curriculum goals and state standards, as well as the individual needs of each pupil. Translates lesson plans into learning experiences that effectively utilize the available time for instruction. Establishes and maintains standards of pupil behavior needed to achieve a functional learning atmosphere in the classroom. Evaluates pupil's academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records, and prepares reports relating to pupil's progress. Communicates with parents through conferences and other means to discuss pupil's progress and interpret the school program. Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude, and learning problems. Creates an effective environment for learning through functional and attractive displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers. Maintains professional competence through inservice education activities provided by the district and self-selected professional growth activities. Selects and requisitions books and instructional aids; maintains required inventory records. Supervises pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the assigned working day. Administers group standardized tests in accordance with the district testing program. Participates in curriculum development programs as required. Participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities. Based on the position, may coach, participate in extra-curricula activities, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Terms of Employment:

Evaluation by site principal and/ or assistant principal in accordance with BOE Policy DNA Teacher EvaluationPhysical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, squat frequently. Ability to lift up to 10 pounds frequently. Ability to do outside duties in inclement weather. Ability to walk or move long distances from location to location around the building multiple times each day.Position Type:
