An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

We are seeking a 4th Grade Self-Contained Teacher to provide engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core subject areas in a primarily virtual environment with limited on-site expectations.
Responsibilities:
Deliver high-quality instruction in core content areas, including English Language Arts, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, aligned to Michigan Academic Standards Plan and facilitate live and asynchronous lessons that promote student engagement and ownership of learning Assess student learning and provide timely, meaningful feedback Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners, including students with IEPs, 504 plans, and varying academic needs Build strong relationships with students and families to support academic and social-emotional growth Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and required documentation Communicate regularly with families regarding progress, expectations, and supports Collaborate with colleagues, interventionists, and support staff Participate in meetings, professional learning, and required school events Uphold iCademy Global policies, procedures, and expectations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education or a related field Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an elementary all-subjects endorsement (K-5, K-8, or Upper Elementary 3-6) or ability to obtain. Experience teaching upper elementary students Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills Comfort using technology and virtual learning platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a virtual or blended learning environment Familiarity with Michigan Academic Standards Experience working with diverse student populations
Work Environment:
