An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Requirements:
HS diploma/ECD 101 Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required Two years experience working with children three to five years in a home or center setting.Responsibilities:
Plan and implement a full-day, year-round, developmentally appropriate curriculum including weekly themes and lesson plans, inclusion of theme-related materials, and rotation of toys and equipment on a regular basis. Form and maintain professional relationship with parents and families. Provide safe, responsive, stimulating environment by actively engaging oneself in daily activities and routines. Assess all areas of development of children using the Creative Curriculum. Develop and maintain portfolio for each child Conduct two parent-teacher conferences per year with each family. Lead by example to assistant teachers and aides professional and effective methods of the duties and responsibilities of a lead teacher.Job Types:
