An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Responsibilities:
Instructional Excellence Plan and deliver engaging, school standards-based lessons across subject areas in alignment with the school's curriculum and mission. Integrate biblical worldview into instruction, modeling a Christ-centered approach to life and learning. Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and spiritual needs of students. Create and maintain a safe, organized, clean, and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning. Student Support & Classroom Management Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic growth using proactive classroom management strategies. Build meaningful relationships with students, guiding them with grace, truth, and consistency. Monitor student progress and provide timely feedback, support, and interventions as needed. Collaboration & Communication Maintain open, professional communication with parents, colleagues, and administration. Partner with parents to support student development and success both in and out of the classroom. Participate actively in collaborative planning, faculty meetings, and school events. Contribute to a positive and unified school culture. Update the learning management system Facts at least twice weekly with grades. Update parents asap (or at the very least by the end of the school day)with any behavior issues, assignments choices, or good things (demerits and merits in Facts.) Update parents at least twice weekly on the communication system Class Dojo. Professional & Spiritual Growth Demonstrate a commitment to continuous growth as an educator and follower of Christ. Engage in professional development opportunities and remain current on best practices in Christian education. Model servant leadership and uphold the values and expectations of Valorous Academy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; degree in education or related field preferred. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to Christian education. Alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Valorous Academy. Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills. Willingness to be flexible, collaborative, and committed to excellence.

Maintain a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Attend a local Bible-believing church. Model biblical integrity and servant leadership in all areas of life and work.
