Today Job Description Do you love Christ, love children, and want to make a positive difference in the lives of elementary-age kids? Good News Children's Center is looking for a caring, dependable After School Teacher to lead our K-1st grade group. This is a great opportunity for a college student pursuing education, early childhood, ministry, or a related field to gain hands-on experience working with children while enjoying an afternoon schedule that fits well around many college classes. Schedule Monday-Friday, approximately 2:00/2:30-6:00 p.m. Additional hours may be available on no-school days, during the summer, and as a substitute. Responsibilities Build positive relationships with children and families. Lead and supervise a group of up to 15 K-1st grade children . Create a safe, fun, active, Christ-centered environment. Share the Gospel through engaging Bible lessons and everyday interactions. Lead games, outdoor play, creative activities, and group experiences. Communicate professionally with parents and co-workers. Qualifications Must be 18 years or older . Personal Christian faith and desire to be a positive Christian influence. Enjoy working with young elementary-age children. Dependable, patient, energetic, and able to lead a group. Previous experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.
