An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Pay:

As a Pre-Kindergarten Teacher at Primrose School of Georgetown, you'll create a fun, safe environment for little ones who are constantly on the move. Through a daily schedule of guided learning and purposeful play, you'll help lay the foundation for a life long love of learning as children build on their social, emotional and cognitive skills. Make a difference every day. Spend your days building genuine relationships with each child. Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning® curriculum. Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence. Discover what works best for each child as you teach them about the world around them.
