Full Job Description Responsibilities:
Classroom Overview FLIP Childcare & Learning Center is seeking a firm yet compassionate Pre‑K Teacher who can maintain a structured, nurturing classroom environment while supporting each child's emotional, social, and academic growth. The ideal candidate is confident, patient, and skilled in classroom management, ensuring children feel safe, respected, and excited to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Management & Environment Establish and maintain a structured, predictable classroom routine that supports learning and positive behavior. Use firm but gentle guidance to help children understand expectations and boundaries. Implement effective behavior‑management strategies that promote respect, cooperation, and self‑regulation. Create a warm, welcoming classroom that reflects diversity, creativity, and age‑appropriate learning. Instruction & Learning Plan and deliver engaging Pre‑K lessons in literacy, math, science, social‑emotional learning, and fine/gross motor development. Use hands‑on activities, centers, and play‑based learning to support comprehension and skill‑building. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of individual learners. Encourage curiosity, independence, and a love for learning. Social & Emotional Development Model and teach emotional expression, conflict resolution, and positive peer interactions. Support children in identifying feelings, using words, and practicing self‑control. Build strong, trusting relationships with students through compassion, consistency, and encouragement. Communication & Collaboration Maintain professional, positive communication with families regarding student progress and classroom updates. Collaborate with staff to ensure smooth daily operations and cohesive curriculum implementation. Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and school events as needed. Classroom Care & Safety Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and safe at all times. Follow all licensing, safety, and health guidelines. Supervise children closely during all activities, transitions, and outdoor play. Qualifications Experience working with preschool‑aged children (required). Strong classroom management skills with a calm, confident presence. Ability to balance firmness with compassion and patience. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). CDA or Early Childhood Education background preferred but not required.(There will be an opportunity to acquire a CDA) What We're Looking For A teacher who is: Firm, consistent, and confident in managing a busy classroom. Compassionate and nurturing , with a genuine love for children. Organized and proactive , able to maintain structure and flow. Energetic and creative , bringing joy and engagement to daily learning.
