Certified Lead Montessori Teacher - Primary (Ages 3-6) Montessori Reggio Academy |
Katy, TX Required Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:30 PM Montessori Reggio Academy is seeking an experienced, certified Lead Montessori Teacher to lead a Primary classroom serving children ages 3-6 at our Katy campus. Please apply only if you meet ALL three requirements: Hold a Montessori Primary certification for ages 3-6. Have at least two years of Montessori teaching experience in a Primary classroom serving ages 3-6. Are available to work Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-3:30 PM. These qualifications are required. Do not apply if you do not meet all three requirements. About the Role We are looking for a dedicated educator who brings strong classroom leadership, a thorough understanding of Montessori principles, and a warm, consistent approach to teaching. The ideal candidate fosters independence, curiosity, and respect while maintaining an organized and engaging learning environment. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver Montessori lessons appropriate for the Primary age group. Observe and document each child's progress, adapting instruction to individual needs and readiness. Maintain a well-prepared Montessori classroom with organized, accessible materials. Establish consistent routines and support positive behavior through respectful guidance. Serve as a role model and mentor to co-teachers and support staff, ensuring shared responsibilities and effective teamwork. Communicate professionally with families and provide timely updates on student development. Maintain active supervision and follow all school safety policies and procedures. Participate in required staff meetings, training, and professional development. Required Qualifications Montessori Primary certification for ages 3-6. A minimum of two years of Montessori teaching experience with ages 3-6. Availability to work the required weekday schedule of 8:00 AM-3:30 PM. Strong knowledge of Montessori materials, lesson presentation, and early childhood development. Effective classroom management, organization, and communication skills. A patient, dependable, and professional approach to working with children, families, and colleagues. Ability to pass required background checks. Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
Preferred:
