An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Description

The Betty M. Condra School is seeking a Elementary ELA Teacher for the 2026-2027 School year to assist our school with our goal of helping children to reach their potential.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field; Master's degree is a plus
  • Teaching certification/license in Early Childhood Education
  • Experience working with students or early childhood setting
  • Ability to write and proofread educational materials effectively
  • Proficiency in developing and executing lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students The right candidate will help to drive our children to realize their own superior results in reading, writing and problem solving.
At The Condra School we encourage our teachers to assist the children to reach or exceed their goals that will further their education by planning each of the lessons in accordance with the TEKS and each student's needs. We ask that each teacher attend weekly grade level meetings and collaborate with the grade level teachers and aides on student behavior management. At The Condra School, we collaborate with the Administration of the school, the families and the students, other grade level teachers and aides to develop a plan to help each child reach and outperform their own milestones, We want the child to know they have done their best and for them to be proud of themselves for their achievements.
