An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Job Overview Art Haven is looking for a
PART TIME SCIENCE
Teacher for their After School program beginning mid- Sept and continuing throughout this school year. Must love science and working with elementary age children. These projects use legos and modeling clay to help illustrate the lessons learned. Curriculum and supplies are provided and Teachers are trained in the Art Haven Methods. Teachers will need to be available for 1.5-2 hours a day , 2-5 afternoons each week. After School sessions are 3 times a year. Paid $60/ class. Applicants must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as they move supplies to and from locations; must be able to stand for 1-3 hours and move quickly from student to student. One year minimum commitment is required. Applicants must be over 18 and have their own reliable transportation. Call Teresa at 801-913-0233.
