An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

SELECTEDCANDIDATE MUST WORK 21-CONSECUTIVE INSTRUCTIONAL DAYS IN THE SAME CLASS TO BE PAID BOARD SUB RATE.

Must be able to deliver engaging and effective instruction and establish positive relationships with students, families and staff. Proficiency with educational technology and systems, ability to analyze student data, prior knowledge of instructional practices, classroom management, and student assessment methods are preferred.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to stand, walk, bend and move about the classroom for extended periods. Must be able to lift and carry instructional materials and supplies up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to communicate effectively in person and in writing.
