An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Our private school is looking for highly enthusiastic educators capable of providing engaging hands-on lessons and experiences in a nurturing environment for the 2026-2027 school year . Ideal candidates will be flexible and willing to take on other tasks as needed to ensure the success of the school. Our First Grade Teachers are responsible for the care and education of a group of children. Our Teachers will create and implement lesson plans and manage the students as they learn. Teachers are responsible for keeping their classroom organized and clean, providing excellent communication in person and in writing, and creating a healthy and safe environment for all students and staff. All our teachers and staff are held to high standards regarding communication, curriculum, professionalism, and safety.
Qualifications:
Must have a minimum of an Associate degree in ECE, Elementary Education or related field; Bachelor's Degree Preferred Minimum 1 year field-related experience working with young children in a school setting or childcare facility Excellent oral and written communication skills required Be committed to upholding standards for high quality education at every level Meet the individual needs of the children, interact with all children to support learning and play Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities Participate in required teacher and staff trainings Establish positive and effective communication and relationships with children, families, and staff Must have reliable attendance and accountability Flexibility to work hours based on the needs of the school and program Successful background check and VA licensing standards required
