Teachers are responsible for creating an engaging classroom where students are known, challenged, and loved while partnering closely with families in the educational journey. Qualifications Required A vibrant Christian faith and a heart for serving students and families Bachelor's degree Washington State Teaching Certificate (or equivalent certification) Strong written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Google Workspace or willingness to learn new educational technology Excellent classroom management and organizational skills Ability to work collaboratively with parents and fellow staff Preferred At least one year of teaching experience Experience with individualized or hands-on learning (Charlotte Mason, Classical, Montessori, Project-Based Learning, or similar approaches) Special Education Endorsement Experience in Christian education ResponsibilitiesClassroom Leadership Create a joyful, peaceful, and well-managed classroom. Plan and deliver engaging, hands-on lessons. Foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of learning. Differentiate instruction to meet individual student needs. Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback. Partnership with Families Build strong relationships with parents as educational partners. Communicate regularly through Google Classroom, email, conferences, and progress updates. Prepare weekly lesson plans and home assignments that support learning at home. Participate in quarterly conferences and student assessments. Student Development Encourage academic excellence alongside spiritual and character growth. Help students develop responsibility, independence, and strong learning habits. Model Christ-like character in every interaction. School Community Supervise students during lunch, recess, and other school activities. Participate in school events, parent trainings, open houses, and community gatherings. Collaborate with administration and colleagues to continually improve instruction. Maintain an organized classroom and uphold school policies. Compensation & Benefits Salary:
