Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking creative and dynamic teachers with experience in helping upper elementary (4th/5th or middle school) students learn to think and reason beyond memorization and response. Can you help preteens think logically, while motivating them to try new solutions? Are you a teacher that inspires? Do your students get excited to learn when you present new materials? Can you take a tired subject and breathe new life and vigor into it? As a Christian school we can teach truth from many levels, including spiritual truth. We seek to inspire our students to learn, to grow, to increase wisdom. The ideal candidate will challenge students to achieve more than they thought they could; to hold a high standard for their students and help them achieve success. They will be responsible for designing engaging lessons, managing classroom behavior, and supporting students' individual needs to ensure they reach their full potential. We are a budding Christian school in Snohomish, a beautiful community north of Seattle. We are a ministry of a fast-growing church in the northwest, Pursuit Church. Next year marks our first middle school classes, with staff that has significant background in these challenging but valuable ages. Required:

Adaptability:
Responds with grace and creativity to the dynamic nature of upper elementary and middle school life. BA in Education (Masters preferred) Washington state teacher credential required. Complete Child Abuse Training TB Test (results within 1 year) Immunization Records or waiver (must include MMR, antibody titer labs, or exemption documents) First Aid and CPR Certification Pass both local and federal background checks.
Responsibilities:
Integrate Biblical worldview into daily lessons, classroom discussions, and interactions, helping students see God's truth in every subject. Plan and deliver engaging instruction that meets curriculum and state standards and supports diverse learning needs. Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and evaluations, providing timely and constructive feedback. Cultivate a safe, respectful, and joyful classroom culture where students feel valued and encouraged to grow academically and spiritually. Lead students in prayer, devotionals, and spiritual reflection, fostering habits of faith and discipleship. Partner with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development. Prepare and organize materials and classrooms for class activities. Adapt teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests. Positively support the school's policies and practices and work collaboratively in a professional organization. Build partnerships with parents through proactive communication. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to children while adapting teaching methods and materials to meet varying student interests. Collaborate with other teachers and administrators. Employees may be required to follow other job-related instructions or perform other job-related duties requested by a supervisor in compliance with Federal and State Laws Attend staff meetings.

Pay:
$49,500.00 - $65,000.00 per year
