Maintain accurate documentation of child development progress, attendance records, and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards. Ensure adherence to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to safeguard the health and safety of all children in your care. Skills Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and Montessori methodology. Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings; familiarity with toddler care is a plus. Strong classroom management skills coupled with effective behavior management techniques. Ability to develop engaging curriculum content across subjects including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning. Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is desirable. Knowledge of childhood development stages and best practices in childcare environments. Certification in first aid and CPR; understanding of mandated reporting laws is essential.
