01/05/2026 Description We seek applicants for part-time instructors to teach daytime or evening Industrial Maintenance courses during future semesters through HCC's Career and Technical Education division. Courses offered in this area include Industrial & Building Electricity , Mechanical Systems , Electrical Wiring and Maintenance , Fluid Power and Mechanical Systems , Mechatronics , Programmable Controllers , and Robotic Systems . In addition to teaching, general expectations include: Evaluate student learning outcomes within established protocols Prepare syllabi for courses taught consistent with established approvals Manage student issues and problems in a manner consistent with the Student Handbook Create a learning environment that fosters student success and the attainment of defined learning outcomes on the master syllabus Demonstrate competence and remain current in the discipline Use major IT systems necessary for performance of basic job duties including email, grade and required attendance submissions, and learning management systems Cooperate with Student Success and Enrollment Services staff in advocating for student persistence and completion Maintain reasonable accessibility to students Cooperate with College-wide and division instructional goals Requirements Minimum of 2,000 hours of demonstrated experience in the industrial maintenance field Relevant industry certifications Daytime and/or evening on-campus availability Desired Qualifications Post-secondary degree Successful teaching experience Please upload copies of any relevant certifications and/or transcripts when completing the online application process. Adjunct faculty shall be compensated per Equated Contact Hour (ECH) of instruction. As of time of posting, the compensation rate per ECH for new Adjunct Faculty is $1,011.
