Job Description

Description The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering College of Engineering at Texas A&M University invites applications for a part-time, Visiting (Non-Tenure) position at the Visiting Lecturer, Visiting Senior Lecturer, Visiting Principal Lecturer, Visiting Instructional Assistant Professor, Visiting Instructional Associate Professor, Visiting Instructional Professor, Visiting Associate Professor of the Practice, Visiting Professor of the Practice levels with the titles and ranks depending on background, qualifications, and experience with a 4.5-month academic appointment with teaching expertise in civil engineering. The successful applicant will teach primarily at the undergraduate level in support of the development of the undergraduate program; advise and mentor undergraduate students; participate in all aspects of the department's activities; and serve the profession. Department Info The Zachry Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Texas A&M is proud to be among the top civil and environmental engineering departments in the country, with civil engineering ranked 8th in undergraduate programs and 9th in graduate programs at public institutions. Texas A&M civil and environmental engineering graduates are highly recruited and widely regarded as among the most work-ready young engineers in the country. The department currently has 55 tenured and tenure-track faculty and 22 academic professional track faculty members. Our student population is comprised of over 900 undergraduate students (sophomore to senior level) and 370 graduate students.
