Updated 08/2026 Job Description Job Summary The Marshall University Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) Program is seeking experienced, knowledgeable and dedicated Aviation Maintenance Instructors to join our growing team. Position Overview Part time instructors will deliver both classroom and hands-on instruction across all areas of aircraft maintenance. Courses are taught two consecutive days per week, from 0730-1500 with a third day reserved for tutoring, make up and administrative functions. This is a per-semester, part-time appointment with a teaching load of up to two classes. Compensation is commensurate with FAA licensure and professional aviation experience. Key Responsibilities- Instruct our FAA ACS aligned curriculum in a positive, supportive manner that encourages student participation and engagement
- Communicate emergent needs of students to program leadership
- Develop new and revise current curriculum as needed or requested by program leadership
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor Requirements Required Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant certification
- 5 years' experience minimum Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Pratt & Whitney PT6 engines
- Electrical and/or avionics maintenance experience
