JOB DESCRIPTION

May be asked to teach days, evenings, hybrid/online and in the dual enrollment program. Online/hybrid teaching requires additional campus-based training.

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration. Minimum Qualifications:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master's in journalism or communication with a specialization in journalism OR Bachelor's in either of the above AND Master's in English, history, communication, literature, composition, comparative literature, any social science, business, business administration, marketing, graphics or photography OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee. SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS SUMMARY

This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date. If there is no longer a need to fill, the position may be closed sooner, and applicants will be notified. This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, and temporary faculty assignments on an as-needed basis. When the need to fill arises, the department will refer to this pool of part-time faculty.
