Summary:
The Program Associate for PPL lives in the dorm with the first-year cohort and attends the first year PPL cohort classes. They help support the first-year PPL scholars both in their assimilation to AU and in ensuring their success in the PPL program. The PA helps facilitate the flow of discourse from the classroom to the dorm room. They work with the faculty member teaching the corresponding class and lab period to help plan and execute the class, and will lead the scholars on site visits during lab. The PA must be a second or third year PPL scholar, must meet the minimum program requirements in terms of GPA and credit hours, and must be in good conduct standing. They must also complete mandatory training (Title IX) before starting the position.
Essential Functions:
Help support the first-year PPL scholars both in their assimilation to AU and in ensuring their success in the PPL program. Facilitate the flow of discourse from the classroom to the dorm room. Work with the faculty member teaching the corresponding class and lab period to help plan and execute the class. Lead the scholars on site visits during lab. Other duties assigned.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-time. 1 - 20 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$18.40 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
Must be a second or third year PPL scholar. Mus meet the minimum program requirements in terms of GPA and credit hours. Must be in good conduct standing.
