Job Description:
World Languages, Adjunct Faculty Pool | Openings expected for Fall 2026 Adjunct positions are an "Open Pool" for the upcoming Fall 2026 semester. There may or may not be available openings at this time however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis. Adjunct Instructor positions are part-time, semester-to-semester, non-benefited
MCCC/MTA/DCE
unit positions.
SALARY RANGE
$1,512 to $1,826 per credit. Courses can run from one to four credits.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES
Teaches a range of French courses.
EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Conducts classes Prepares for instruction Assesses student performance Provides student assistance by appointment Attends a limited number of faculty meetings
Requirements:
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Master of Arts or Master of Arts in Teaching in French or related field Demonstrated successful experience working with people from diverse social and cultural backgrounds, with a range of academic abilities Demonstrated commitment to the community college mission If you do not meet all listed qualifications but believe your experience, education, or training provides an equivalent foundation for success in the role, we strongly encourage you to include an equivalency statement in your application. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of successful experience teaching French courses at the college level Evidence of successful teaching experience in a community college Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion in and outside of the classroom

: Finalist candidates who are otherwise qualified for the position will be required to complete a Massachusetts Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) check as a condition of employment in accordance with GCC's CORI policy .
