Part-Time Lecturer

• Corporate & Organizational Communication (Boston) About the Opportunity The College of Professional Studies at Northeastern University invites applications for a non-tenure track part time faculty lecturer in Corporate & Organizational Communication on the Boston campus.

Designed for international graduate students who have not previously studied in the U.S. or Canada, this elective course combines integrated ESL with academic acculturation strategies.

Specific areas of instruction include:

reading and writing for graduate school; English sounds and prosody; and expectations surrounding academic integrity, class participation, email etiquette, and presentation skills. The College of Professional Studies is one of ten colleges of Northeastern University, a nationally ranked private research university. The College teaches undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students on campus and online in more than 90 programs. Boston-based courses meet in-person once per week. Qualified candidates must be prepared to work with global student populations. Qualifications Qualified candidates must possess at least three years teaching international students at the post-secondary level and a graduate degree in a related field (e.g., TESOL, applied linguistics, or English); instructors of Canadian sections must have a doctoral degree. Strong communication and technical skills are required. Non-native English-speaking applicants are welcome and encouraged.
