Job Description:
Adjunct positions available to teach of HIT 120: Medical terminology and HPR 101: Intro to Health Professions . Courses to be offered on OCC main campus during day and evening hours.
Major responsibilities include:
Prepare and present lectures. Meet with students as needed to answer questions. Respond to student queries (e.g. email or voice mail) as needed, in a reasonably timely manner. Write, administer, and grade all student assignments and exams. Compute grades and submit them on time.
Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in health care field with two (2) years' work experience in a health-related field from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency. Active health-related license, credential or certification - (must provide copy of license/certificate or credential for consideration).
PEFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare field from an accredited college, university or foreign equivalency Prior experience teaching college level courses. Bilingual in English and Spanish. English and other languages will be considered.
Additional Information:
Adjunct rate of pay for the 26/27 academic year is $1,527/credit hour. Classes will be assigned on an as needed basis dependent upon enrollment. Adjuncts are eligible to participate in the NYS Teacher's Retirement System.
