Summary of Duties:

The English Program in the Marywood School of Humanities seeks Adjunct Instructors to teach first year composition classes, first year literature, and upper-level writing courses, ideally in person. Qualified individuals with a terminal degree in English may be invited to teach some courses in the graduate Professional Writing MA program. Upper-level offerings are wide-ranging and may include rhetoric, professional writing, grant writing, science, legal, or medical writing.

Requirements:

For teaching first year English classes: an MA or MFA in English, Comparative Literature, Rhetoric, Composition, or Writing is required. College-level teaching experience is preferred. For teaching upper-level writing classes at the undergraduate level, at least an MA or MFA in English, Rhetoric, Professional or Creative Writing, or related field is required.
