Required Degree:

MA in English, MFA in Creative Writing, or a master's degree in a comparable field. The required degree must be completed before the start date.

Experience:

College-level English composition or literature course instruction.

Duties/Expectations:

ENGL 302

Writing with Style. Course description and learning objectives are available in the BYU Course Catalog. Instructor Availability. Applicants must teach in-person classes on the BYU Provo campus, be available for at least three office hours each week, share an office with up to two additional adjunct faculty, and provide assignment feedback in a timely manner. Office hours may be held in person and/or online. Training and Meetings. Adjunct faculty may be required to attend department training prior to the start of teaching as well as attend periodic course coordination meetings. They do not attend department faculty meetings and are not expected to participate in citizenship and research as part of their regular load. They may be invited to participate in minimal ad hoc curricular and mentoring assignments, for which they would be compensated in addition to their teaching contract.
