High School English Teacher

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated High School English Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding and interest in the craft of writing and love of literature and the ability to teach language arts in an engaging way. This role involves curriculum development, managing classroom dynamics, and supporting the diverse needs of students in a multi-age microschool setting. We are looking for a candidate with an appreciation and understanding of the values of Christian, conservative, homeschooling families while also maintaining the ability to teach nonsectarian material with little bias. Duties Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning. Send electronic assessments to parents on a periodic basis. Provide individualized support to students with varying abilities and age levels, including those with moderate special needs. Collaborate with parents to address student needs and enhance educational outcomes. Maintain effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement. Communicate in a timely and positive way with administration and parents. Work with the administration to promote the program through effective advertising strategies. Provide assessments and grading services for students and communicate on igradeplus.com. Operate their own educational business. (This is optional but opens the opportunity for increased compensation.) Skills Strong mentoring abilities to guide students in their academic journey. Experience in teaching in a homeschool, private, or public school setting. Understand the needs of homeschooling families or those transitioning to hybrid schooling. Experience working with children of various ages and backgrounds. Experience teaching multiple levels at once is a plus. Proficient in classroom management techniques to maintain an orderly learning environment. Understanding of childhood development principles to support age-appropriate learning strategies. Strong love for and command of the English language and top tier writing skills with the ability to teach writing skills. We are a fast growing program that has earned an excellent reputation.
