• Job Overview:

• We are seeking a highly motivated bilingual English Teacher to join our dynamic team.

As an English Language Development (ELD) instructor in our after school program, you will be responsible for teaching students the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the English language. Your primary goal will be to create an engaging and supportive learning environment that fosters a love for reading and writing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and a strong background in literacy education. Fluency in both Mandarin and English is required.

• Responsibilities:

• Teach English reading, writing, speaking and listening to students of varying skill levels
• Develop and implement lesson plans that supplement existing materials
• Foster a positive classroom environment through behavior management and classroom management techniques
• Encourage students to develop their language skills through regular writing assignments and class discussions
• Offer feedback on students' work and provide constructive criticism to help them improve their skills
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement new curricula and instructional methods
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in English language teaching
• Monitor student progress and provide data-driven feedback to students, administration, and parents

• Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in English preferred
• Experience teaching English language to students of varying skill levels
• Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques
• Experience with literacy education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
