Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor's degree required (preferably in English, Literature, Education, or a related field).
- Valid California Teaching Credential and/or Master's degree preferred.
- At least two years of teaching experience in a comprehensive high school setting.
- Experience teaching a range of high school English courses; experience teaching Honors, AP English Language and Composition, and/or AP English Literature and Composition is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development, writing instruction, literary analysis, and differentiated instructional practices.
- Commitment to integrating technology to enhance teaching and student learning.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Catholic education. Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in English, Literature, Education, or a related field.
- California Single Subject Credential in English.
- Experience teaching Advanced Placement (AP) English courses.
- Bilingual speaking, reading, and writing abilities (Spanish) preferred.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
