Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring an English Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Cupertino, CA.

Job Information:
Student:
Individual classes for children (age 4 years old & 7 years old)
Availability:
Any weekdays between 3:30 PM and 5:30 PM.
Preferred start date:
Asap Lesson frequency: 1x a week Lesson duration: 1h each Location / time zone: Near Sweet Maple Restaurant (20010 Stevens Creek Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014, USA) Current target language level: Complete beginner & Intermediate Native and other spoken languages: Native Korean; English learned for 3 years.
Language needs and goals:
7-years-old: Learn grade-level (or advanced) vocabulary and grammar, build reading interest, and develop the ability to write and present structured opinions; catch up with and progress beyond school curriculum as a non-native speaker.
Learning preferences:
Strong preference for structured lessons with a well-designed, tailored curriculum; values homework practice, varied learning methods, clear objectives, and teacher feedback.
Interests:
Transportation, countries, cultures, painting, crafts, and stories. 4-years-old: He is in pre-K and his parent's main goal is for him to build a solid foundation in all core learning skills: listening, reading, comprehension, and speaking. They would like my him to develop the ability to understand and communicate in English naturally. They would like his lessons to touch on the below topics mainly: - Building vocabulary
Responsibilities:
Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons Developing curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomes Monitoring students' progress and guiding learners toward learning goals Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field To have a minimum of two years of ESL teaching experience Having experience working with young children is a must All Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
