Category Schools - General Education Teacher Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of middle school students as a dedicated English Language Arts (ELA) educator for a full-time contract role. This opportunity is perfect for passionate teachers eager to inspire 6th-8th graders and make a lasting impact during the school year. In this position, you'll support a single class of middle school learners onsite, guiding them through comprehensive ELA curriculum while fostering a positive, inclusive, and curiosity-driven environment. You'll work closely with students and staff to strengthen reading, writing, and analytical skills, preparing young minds for future academic success. Qualifications & Experience Valid Colorado SPED Certificate required Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred) Previous experience teaching ELA at the middle school level Strong understanding of curriculum standards for grades 6-8 Ability to engage diverse learners and implement differentiated instruction Excellent communication, classroom management, and collaboration skills Dedication to supporting students' academic, social, and emotional growth Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging ELA lessons for grades 6-8 Assess and monitor student progress, adapting instruction as needed Create an inclusive, safe classroom environment conducive to learning Implement IEP accommodations and modifications in collaboration with special education teams Communicate regularly with families, colleagues, and administration Participate in professional development and staff meetings Working as a contract educator offers the unique chance to broaden your teaching skills, make meaningful connections, and leave a significant imprint on a caring community of learners.
