Duties and Responsibilities:
Plans and delivers lessons to promote students' English language development. Collaborates with classroom teachers and specialists to ensure achievement of EL/MLs across content areas through the Sheltered Instruction and the English Language Development program models. Administers formative and summative assessments to monitor language progress and ensure student achievement. Completes documentation required for compliance with state and federal guidelines. Completes daily logs of student services. Attends regular Professional Development offerings. Be available for afternoon and evening parent-teacher conferences and school events. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must hold a valid teacher license in the applicable grade level for the state in which you are applying. Candidates for English Language (EL) Teacher positions should preferably hold a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Education endorsement. Minimally, candidates for this position must be on an approved pathway for gaining licensure and obtain a CLD endorsement within 2 years of certification. National Heritage Academies is an equal-opportunity employer. $62,833.00 to $68,561.00 will be the pay range and is commensurate with experience, education, and market as defined by NHA. The pay range listed is just one component of NHA's total compensation package.
