Job Description

Overview Holy Trinity Episcopal School has an immediate opportunity for a passionate English Language Arts (ELA) educator for the 2026-27 school year. This is a part-time position. Our academic calendar entails 180 days/year. We serve students in grades 6-12 who experience learning differences due to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and other challenges, and offer the opportunity for students to excel academically, socially, spiritually, and gain independence. Candidates with experience in Exceptional Student Education (ESE)/Special Education are preferred. Core Responsibilities
  • Conduct high school and middle school ELA classes; educate students in various genres and literary concepts
  • Develop and deliver engaging ELA lessons that cater to different learning styles
  • Create lesson plans and instructional materials for each assigned class
  • Assign, correct, and grade homework, classwork, and assessments
  • Manage classes effectively to ensure all students are learning in a positive, safe, and inclusive environment
  • Attend on-site professional development sessions and apply concepts in classroom Required Skills
  • Proficiency in literature and writing with a strong understanding of literary concepts
  • Ability to build effective relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Desire to find personal/professional fulfillment and purpose by contributing to the education of students with exceptionalities! Qualifications
  • Required:
    Bachelor's Degree. Preferred BA in Education or related field, emphasis in Literature or related field.
