The classes are separated into two groups: 6th-7th Grade and 8th-10th Grade. The position is part time, Tuesday and Thursday, from approximately 8:30am to 3:30pm (classes are from 9:15-2:30.) Monday and Wednesday are also available (see separate ad.) Responsibilities Plan and teach two classes to both groups of students listed above. The classes are Literature and Grammar (curriculums and training provided) Collaborate with other teachers (other teachers are available to provide additional support for students as needed) Create a positive, respectful, and structured classroom environment Communicate supply needs to admin and maintain organized materials Assign and monitor homework Provide grades for students in grades 9 and 10. Requirements Experience teaching in a Middle or High School Classroom Strong classroom management skills Alignment with the collaborative, wholesome, and family-centered nature of homeschool education Passion for nurturing confidence in young learners Preferred Skills (not required) Bachelor's Degree in Education Valid or previous teaching certification for middle or high school education Benefits Competitive pay rate based on experience and expertise (pay rate listed is a minimum rate, candidates may be offered a higher rate if offered the position) Matching 401k (including part-time employees) Paid planning time built into the workday Employer pays for all classroom supplies Christ-centered atmosphere Administrative support and training
