Job Summary The English Language Arts teacher will join a team of motivated, mission-driven teammates who are committed to taking responsibility for their students' learning. Hiawatha teachers are charged with providing a rigorous, fast-paced, and inspiring learning environment for their students. The ELA Teacher will work under the guidance of the Instructional Leadership Team and in close collaboration with the rest of the Special Education Team, the Dean of Students, classroom teachers, and advisors. Starting Pay Range:
$45,577- $82,065 Hiawatha Employment Logistics Hiawatha Collegiate High School students' school day is from 8:45 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8:45 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Staff hours are 8:15 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. Monday-Friday. Professional development sessions are held each Friday from 2:15 p.m. - 4:15 p.m. All Hiawatha staff are expected to attend and participate in relevant evening family events to be held at the school.
