FMLA English Teacher - Honors English 2 Temporary Position - Approximately 4
Weeks Start Date:
October 6, 2026 Argo Community High School is seeking a qualified English teacher to fill a temporary FMLA leave position for approximately four weeks beginning October 6, 2026. This position consists of one course preparation: Honors English 2 . The teacher will be responsible for delivering the established curriculum, providing engaging instruction, assessing student learning, maintaining grades and attendance, and supporting a positive classroom environment.
Responsibilities include:
Teach Honors English 2 using established curriculum and instructional materials. Plan and deliver effective daily instruction. Assess student work and provide timely feedback. Maintain accurate attendance and grade records. Communicate with students, families, and school staff as appropriate. Follow school and district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with appropriate English endorsement. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Previous high school English teaching experience preferred. This is a temporary position covering an FMLA leave for approximately four weeks.
