Step into a rewarding opportunity as an English Language Arts (ELA) teacher supporting non-native English speakers! In this contract position, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans that target reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Your creativity, empathy, and understanding of diverse cultures will empower students to excel in an inclusive classroom environment. This is a full-time, onsite role requiring 37.5 hours per week, working with students and colleagues through the 2026-2027 school year. Preferred candidates bring a passion for language instruction and a commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Louisiana Teaching License with required endorsements Background in general education, ELA, or ESL instruction Proven ability to foster a supportive classroom culture for language learners Patience, cultural sensitivity, and adaptability in instructional methods Collaborative mindset for working with school staff and families
Primary Responsibilities:
