What were looking for:

Current and active Louisiana Teaching License/Certification, including all necessary endorsements Solid background in general education, especially ELA instruction Experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL/EL) Ability to develop curriculum tailored to diverse learning needs Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management abilities Demonstrated cultural awareness and inclusive teaching practices Passion for helping non-native speakers build language proficiency In this role, you will: Design targeted lesson plans to improve language development and academic skills Foster a classroom culture of inclusivity, respect, and high expectations Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit varying language proficiency levels Track and report student progress, offering additional support as needed Collaborate with staff, families, and communities to maximize student engagement and learning outcomes Serve as a role model, encouraging students to confidently participate in all aspects of school life Uphold all school and district policies and procedures This is a contract position with 37.5 onsite hours weekly and long-term stability through late May 2027.
